Hi Pete,

Was very impressed with your research on the Clowes. I'm seeking the origin of S.B. Clowes who lived more or less in VA/WV. Have two dates of birth: 1803 and 1809. He was listed several times as having been born in NY, but I'm at a loss to find out the name of his parents. Supposedly the S. stands for Sylvester, but who knows. Have you come across an S.B. in your work? Please advise.
