There can be no doubt. We are cousins. My mother and grandmother used Colonel McDonough to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. Your mother Gay Cloward Jones is not in my pedigree, but Eliza Jane Cloward is my mother's great grandmother. I would dearly love to see the family graves in Wilmington. I would be very interested in detailed information on this branch. Another ancestor is Commodore Thomas McDonough who commanded the United States naval force that defeated the British on Lake Champlain in the War of 1812. Mother remembers her great grandmother telling her, "Thomas was the wild one, He ran away and joined the Navy."
