Hi James,
As one other resonder mentioned, we appeared to have one common ancestor who cme to America in the early 1700's and settled in Cecil County MD whre he was given a grant of land in an area known as Elk Neck (near Havre du Grace). It is today part of a state park. The Cecil County courthouse has some records that confirm this. You had ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary war (possibly on both sides) and the Civil War (Union 138th Penna Infantry). My father was in WWII and I was in Vietnam...so we seem to get in all the wars, good and bad.
