In My notes from a Pension record there is a Melvina, Mrs. John Clontz listed as applying for a pension. My Husbands grandmother was Melvina(?Melzina) Brickey Easley. Her mother was Louisa Clontz married to James Daniel Brickey, MO.I also have a marriage record of John Clontz marrying Melvina Henderson 9/28/1865; Bond 9/26/1865 Haywood Co. Robert B. Flowers, Bondsman; J.W. Killian, witness; married by C.B. Ningus. Union Co. NC records.
There is also a record of John Clonts, 1st Lieut. F Co 32, MO Inf. Aug. 13, 1862-July 18,1865 (2y, 10m,ld) Gunshot wound in left knee.Found in 1890 census of Penshioners, Missouri, Crawford Co. Do we connect? Hope this helps. Jane
