I am working on a huge ROTHROCK family tree. Maria Magdalena WALK (1783-1822) married John GLADFELTER Jr. (1780-1845) in 1803 at Stokes County, North Carolina. Maria died in North Carolina, but John moved to Edwards County, Illinois. The eldest child of Maria and John was:

Jesse CLODFELTER who born 01 Jul 1804 at Rowan County, North Carolina and died 14 Nov 1870 at Salem Precinct, Edwards County, Illinois. Jesse married three times:

1)       Magadalena HEGE (1808-1829) who died in North Carolina, no children.

2)       Maria (Mary) HARTMAN (1806-1845) in 1830 (she died in Davidson Co., NC), seven children

3)       Anna Rosina FISHEL (1817-1881) in 1845 at Davidson Co., NC. She died at Edwards County, North Carolina. Nine Children.

Jesse and Anna are buried at the West Salem Moravian Church Cemetery, at West Salem, Edwards County, Illinois. Magdalena and Mary are buried at the God's Acre (Moravian) Cemetery, at Friedberg, Davidson County, North Carolina.

The third of Anna and Jesse's nine children was:

Mary C. CLODFELTER who was born 1849 in Edwards County, Illinois. She married Henry GAEDE (born 1845 in Prussia) on 09 Nov 1871 in Illinois. They were the parents of two known children:

       William GAEDE (born Jun 1875)

Anna Rosanna GAEDE (born 05 Jan 1878)

In 1880 the parents and two children were living at Salem Precinct, Edwards County, Illinois (Family 296/306).

I know nothing else of the GAEDE family, but would like to have additional information. It is hard for me to believe that Mary CLODFELTER GAEDE (born 1849) could have had a child in 1902. Was yours another family???
