Joel SIGMAN b 5 Apr 1816 NC, mar abt 1843 in NC to Mary Ann CLODFELTER b 14 Feb 1825.
They were in Catawba Co, NC 1850 census. 1860 they are in MO. First in area of Cape Giradeau, MO and finally moving into Texas Co, MO. They lived for a short time in Howell Co, MO.
Joel died 18 Dec 1888 and Mary Ann died 17 Nov 1904. Both are buried in Steely Chapel Cem in Elk Creek, Texas Co, MO
Children are: 1. Sarah M, 1845-1888; 2.Mary "Ellen" b abt 1848, mar Wm Thomas GREEN; 3.Quint Eli 1851-1934, mar Rebecca DAVIS; 4. Elizabeth Frances "Jane" b 1853 d in OK, mar Joseph COLVIN; 5. Marcus Lafayette "Fate" 1854-1939, mar Ellen E. VOLNER; 6.George E. 1861-1949, mar Melvina BOLES;7.Lawson "Frank" 1867-1957, mar Cynthia E. EAST.
Anyone have any info on Joel or Mary Ann before they came to MO?
Also need help locating the family of Mary "Ellen" and Wm Thomas GREEN. They were mar in Howell Co, MO 21 July 1872. 1880 Howell Co, MO census Wm T. was 31, Mary E, 33, George L, 7, Joel F. 3, and Mary M. 7 months.
