My mother's name was Ida Mae Etheridge, and her mother passed away when she was three. Thomas Edward Etheridge, her father, left my mother with a Christian woman, and then called Mrs Clodfelter, and told her she could have my mother if she wanted her. Harry and Ellen Clodfelter were my foster grandparents. They raised my mom until Mr. Clodfelter passed away, and then Ellen married a Mr. Ash, and she continued to to raise my mother until she was grown. My grandmother Ash's maiden name was Torbett. They lived in CA. until Mr. Clodfelter passed away, and she moved to Salem, OR. Her brother Mr. J. E. Torbett lived in Portland, OR. Does anyone know anything about any of this family? Thankyou.
