Margaret, You mention both John Clock and Ann Clock in your listing of children of Jacob and Anna Clock. I am a descendant of Stephen Whitney of York. I have been unable to find the name of his wife. Since he is a witness at two Clock weddings in St. James Parish, in 1815 and 1817, I thought perhaps he had married a Clock. Have you come across his name in any of your family genealogy? I do have documentation that he is living in the area -- have copies of land petitions as well as other information. I have copied the information I found about the Clocks: (you have "Diver" instead of "Diven" as below) 14 March, 1815, by special License, John CLOCK and Mary DIVEN, of the Township of York. Witnesses, Jacob CLOCK and Stephen WHITNEY. 11 February, 1817, by special license, Henry PHILIP and Ann CLOCK, both of this parish. Witnesses, Stephen WHITNEY and Mary CLOCK. Thanks, Heather Wilson
