Capt. William Neill m. Mary (Polly) Clinton 03 May 1750 in New Castle County, Delaware. They had William, Gilbraith Falls, James, Andrew, Archibald, Robert, Hannah, Sarah, Alexander, Samuel, Mary "Polly", Elizabeth and John Neill.
He second married Sarah (Allen) Arthurs, a widow.
I am interested in the descent from Captain Wm. Neill and Mary "Polly" Clinton.
A little LATER in this line, how does Mary Neill/Nail, who married JAMES HOLMES connect above? Is her father the James Neill who removed to Texas and was in charge of the Alamo Garrison during the battle, but was back in Tennessee to tend hgis sick wife?
I am trying to sort through my Holmes line up through Phineas Holmes who married Rachel Stewert to his father James Holmes who married Mary Nail.
I want to connect to Captain Wi8lliam Neil who bought land March 25th, 1752 in North Carolina. I am working on supplementals for the Daughters of the American Revolution.
