Cathy,

I do believe we're related. I descend from Mary Catherine Clinkscales, daughter of Berry and Catherine Cox. She married John H. Martin, and they are both buried at Macedonia. I have a picture of John H. and Mary, if you are interested.

Interesting that you mention Calcis. John H. Martin's sister, Amanda,moved to Texas after the War, in which her husband, Jesse Mundine was killed. I have some letters written to Texas from her Alabama Martin relatives, and one talks about a new lime works with RR depot and stores that has sprung up within a half mile of her old place. The author says that they call the new place Calcis. Last March, I found Calcis and took some pictures to send out to descendents in Texas.
