This is amazing! I do not know alot about my family's history but I do know that they moved to Alex, Arkansas(from a northern state Indiana or Illinios) in the late 1800's- early 1900's and then from there to Clarksville, Arkansas in the early 1900's. There in Clarksville the family started a business, Cline Machine Works, sometime around 1918 I beleive, it is still there today, but not family owned any more. My Great grandfather is now deceased, I was named after him, John. I know these are vague statments but I truthfully dont know a whole lot about my family's history. I have been told that the name John, has been in the family for decades and that I had a greatgreat...grandfather who fought in the civil war on the Union side, named John Cline.
I hope this helps out some in your search, I will call my grandparents to find out more.

John Cline
Dallas, TX
