I am tracing my Clyne heritage.
The earliest Clyne of my line
in North America that I can find
is Conrad Clyne, born about 1775
in Shawangunk, Ulster County, NY.
You mentioned that you
searched the parish records of
Ayrshire and did find a few Cline's with
the surnames spelled as Clyne.
Who did you find? Were they prior
to 1775?
