Obituary of MRS. DOCIA FALLS EAKER daughter of J.Z. AND KATHERINE CLINE FALLS
DEATH CLAIMS MRS. EAKER, 66;
Mrs. Docia Falls Eaker, 66 lifelong resident of Cleveland County, a resident of Shelby for the past 35 years, died his morning at 2 o'clock at the home of her daugher, MRS. M.D. WALKER, with whom she made her home on WEST SUMTER STREET.She had been in ill health for the past eight years and had been seriously ill for six months.
MRS. EAKER, was born and reared in upper Cleveland.When her husband, CLYDE EAKER, died in 1918, she moved to Shelby with her family and has lived here ever since.She was the daughter of J.Z. AND KATHERINE CLINE FALLS.
She is survived by three daughters, MRS. JAMES MAGNESS, MRS. M.D. WALKER and MRS. JAMES REID, all of Shelby; two brothers, B.T. FALLS of Shelby and JOHN FALLS of LAWNDALE ROUTE 1; four sisters, MRS. DECATUR WARLICK, MRS. CLARENCE WARLICK and MRS. GEORGE EDWARDS of LAWNDALE ROUNT 1, and MRS. HERBERT BORDERS of SHELBY.She also leaves three grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.Funeral will be held there tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.Rites will be conducted by REV. HARLAN HARRIS AND DR. ZENO WALL.Interment will take place in SUSNET CEMETERY.
There was not a given date on the old paper clipping I found.I found this clipping in an old sewing machine owned by MRS. RUBY GUFFY.She purchased the old sewing machine from MAXWELL, MORRIS & KENNEDY of LA FAYETTE STREET, SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA in 1954.
