Ann, I have information on this Cline family. I believe that David's parents are William Cline and Mary?. I have not been able to determine if it is Mary Linn, Married in Washington Co. Ohio on 9 Aug 1803. I do know that William had 5 ch. Eli, b abt 1811, Hannah (my 2g grandmother)b 29 Jun 1811 in Ohio, David, b 1813, William Jr., bo 2 Feb 1818 and Dicy, b 9 Jul 1821.
Eli was married to Mary Jane ?,(they had 10 c. in Green Co. Wisc.

Hannah married (1) Chesley Golliday in Vermillion Co. Ind. 19 Mar 1835. (2) Nathaniel Spencer (my line) 24 Feb 1839 in Vermillion Co. Illinois.

David (subject of your inquiry) married Mary W. "Polly" Branlin. 3 ch: Bertha? , Eura Willard, and David A.
their son Eura Willard died in 1921 and is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Blockton, Taylor, Iowa. Their son David A. died in 1924 and is buried in Saucereman Cemetery, Cadiz, Green, Wisconsin.

William Jr. md Rachel Jane Brown, 22 Aug 1844 in Green Co. Wisc. 6 Ch. He died 3 Jun 1900 at Taylor County, Iowa, buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, at Blockton.

Dicy, married John Wesley Golliday 1 Jul 1841 in Vermillion Co. Illinois. She died 28 Feb 1908 in Taylor Co. Iowa, also buried at Rose Hill.

I have more info on these families but I don't think that the William R. who died in 1893 in Ringgold Co is the same William.

Is the son in law of David who moved to Iowa the husband of Bertha? I have no info on her.

It seem there may be two families mixed up in our records...

It has been some time since I searched for these families so my reply may not be timely.

Marie Compton
