The information I posted is all I have. I know that in 1850 there are several Cline families in Sullivan Co., TN. My great great Grandfather David Cline is one of them. I think, but cannot prove that Jacob Cline, age 52 could be his father. All I know is that David was born in Virginia about 1818. On the 1880 census he lists his fathers' and mothers' birthplace as Pennsylvania. In history, I found that Sullivan County, Tn was at one time part of Augusta County, Virginia. There are two Jacob Clines in Tenn at this time, possibly related. Jacob Cline b.abt.1799 married to a Lydia and another Jacob b.about 1798 married to a Olivia. That is as far as I have. There is a problem getting information from Sullivan County, in that a lot of records were burned in the Civil War.If I come across anything more I will let you know. Sorry I could not give you anything definite.
