I am having difficulty finding out any info on a John Cline (my g-g-g-grandfather) because a lot of Rockingham Co.'s records were destroyed in the Civil War. He lived in the Linville Creek area, possibly close to Broadway VA. His wife's name was Anna Rebecca Pirkeypile. Their family shows up in the 1850 census in Rockingham Co. I have found their marriage certificate, but there is no information on where or when he was born or who his parents were. Does anyone out there see any mention of him in their family? He and his wife Rebecca do not show up in Paul Cline's book on the Kline/Cline family, so he is probably not related to Elder John Kline from the same area.
