I have a Levi W. Clines born in Indiana per the 1900 and 1910 census of Crooked Creek Township, Jasper Co., Illinois. His parents were both born in Kentucky. Levi was born in March 1845 and died May 7, 1925. He lived in Indiana with his first wife, Terra VAN METER and their 5 children (William, John, Dora, Phoebe and Ella) until at least 1876. In 1881 he married Edith L. "Lucinda/Cinda" TURNER in Jasper Co., Illinois. They had 8 children (Charles Lewis, James, Christopher, Anna, Mary, Jeff, Minnie and Henry). Levi's second wife died in 1906 and after that he lived with children of both marriages in Indiana and Illinois. I'm wondering if possibly Levi W. Clines is a cousin to your Clines. I have also heard there is possibly Cherokee Indian in the line but only hearsay.
