Shirley, I am looking for a James T. Cline that was born about 1820 and he suppossedly
was also a Baptist minister. He died before
1870. His father was also James Cline, and they lived according to my greatgrandmother to my grandmother in Jefferson and Scott Counties Indiana. According to the 1860 census he was a farmer in Scott County. The family tales have said they came from Kentucky into Indiana. I also know that my greatgrandmother was 1/2 cherokee and according to the Hoosier Journal Vol II reprint page 99, he married a Thursey Hougland June 18, 1840. Does any of this ring a bell with you? I think that maybe
there might be a connection because of the
areas and the fact that they both were ministers. Let me know
Thank you
Doris Young
