I have just started trying to research the Cline family name and you are the first person I've come across that has any links to Illinios. That is where I was born (1976). All I know about my history is this: My father's name is Robert N. Cline (1939), his father's name was Thomas Cline (1908?), and my ggrandfather's name was Luther Cline, married to Martha ?. Luther died at a young age from a heart attack and several of thier children, my grandfather included, were sent to an orphanage. Their names were Marie, Mildred, Jeanette, Marvin, Merrill, Milburn, and Thomas. Supposedly they came from Virginia and had some part in a potato chip company but then Luther and Martha moved to Illinios, somewhere around Chicago, I'm not sure of the exact place but could find out. I also know that Luther's brother's names were George Cline and Albert Cline. Also, I believe that George had at least three sons named Cecil, George Jr., and William and that they moved to California. If any of these names coincide with your side of the Cline's please let me know. Thank you.
