I am looking for someone researching the family of John Cline of Jefferson
County, Indiana. John died in 1849 and is buried in Flat Bottom Cemetery
in Jefferson County. His wife Rebecca is not buried there with him.
I do not know Rebecca's maiden name -- feel they were married in Shelby
County Kentucky, but have not been able to locate that marriage.
John and Rebecca had the following children of whom I am aware: William b 1821 md
Martha Nay; Nancy b 1822, d 1844; Pleasant B b 1824 md in Decatur County Indiana;
James Francis b 1827; Robert M b 1830 and Lucy A b 1836.
I know that William's family moved a great deal -- He was a circuit riding
Hardshell Baptist Minister. Do not know if Rebecca moved on with his family
or if she perhaps went to Decatur County with Pleasant's family. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. I have a good deal of information on William's
family as he is my g-g-grandfather! Will be glad to share. Thanks!
