Hi John,
This James H. who married Eliza is the son of Sandford CLINARD b. 1820 and wife, Lavina. He was born in 1847, m. Eliza CLINARD (which CLINARD family??) in 1866, and they appear in the 1880 Robertson Co. Census in District 16 with their 10 year old son Edward.
I believe your James H. is the son of John CLINARD and Malinda HOLLIS CLINARD. I have information on your family because I followed them closely when I was first beginning my research, and was sure at one point that they were my family. One of my fellow CLINARD researchers (a 2nd cousin, found on the Internet) believes that Sandford CLINARD may be the brother of John CLINARD, b. 1825, your James H.'s father. So if that proves to be true, then we definitely have a connection. I appreciate your response. If you need any information on your CLINARD family that I might have accumulated, (I don't know how much you've already found.) please feel free to e-mail me at . If you run across info you think might pertain to my CLINARDs, please let me know. I'll be continuing to search for the connection to your John and James Hollis. Thanks so much for your response.
