WILL OF WILLIAM MORGAN
I, William Morgan, of the State of South Carolina and District of Chester being old and infirm, but still in my perfect senses and memory and of a sound mind do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say
First, I give and bequeath to my Son, John Morgan, at or after my death all that tract or parcel of Land that he formerly lived o formerly the property of Daniel Elliott.
My will and desire is further that my son, John, shall have an equal share or part of all the rest of my estate with my other seven children
My will and desire is that my negroes or black people shall be put or laid off in lots by three judicious well disposed men made as near an equal value as possible so as for Harry and his wife to go together and then for each one of my children to draw for their lot
My will and desire is that all the rest of my estate shall be sold in order to raise money to make each lot for each child of an equal value and if any more than will do that for it to be equally divided amongst the whole of my children
Lastly, I nominate and appoint my three friends as executors to this my last will and testament which is John McCreary, John Morgan and Arthur Westbrook in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth Day of June 1819

Be it remembered that came this day all the undersigns being the heirs of William Morgan, decd, for ourselves, and with ___ free consent agree to making the following division of the seven negroes thereafter named. ____one negro man named Willis, one Do named Simon, one negro boy named Caesar, one negro woman named Ruth, one Do named Sarah, one negro girl child named Rachel, and one negro boy named Calvin in all.
Seven negroes - agreeable to the last will and testament of the said William Morgan, decd. And we do hereby bind ourselves to abide by adnd agree to the following division as specified with our own signatures.

Will: In the Name Of God Amen. I, John Morgan of Southampton County being I perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my will and testament in manner of form as follows (Southampton County, VA,)
Item, I give to my sons Jarret Morgan and Foster Morgan the plantation whereon I live to them and their heirs forever and my desire is that if either of them die underage his part may fall to the other
Item, I give and bequeath to my son, William Morgan, my plantation lying on Browns branch adjoining William Turner, to him and his heirs forever
Item, my desire is that my Negro woman Philis should be sold at publick sale and this money arriving thereon to be equally divided between my four daughter, Patience, Elizabeth, Sarah and Ann
Item, my desire is that all the Remainder part of my Estate of all lands whatsoever should be sold and the money arriving thereon to be equally divided between my seven children: Patience, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jarret, William, Ann and Foster
I likewise constitute make and ordain William Foster and my son Jarret Morgan my hole and sole executors of this my last will and testament
In witness and whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the 24th Day of March one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five
