I know next to nothing about the descendants of Joseph. I've seen some genealogies on the internet. Search for "Joseph Clift" either in a search engine or the internet family finder by Family Treemaker and you will find some (don't know if it will tie to your line).

I and a number of Clift researchers are doubtful about the tie of Joseph of the Eastern Shores of MD to the Marshfield Clifts for two reasons: 1) He does not appear at all in the Marshfield Vital records (which otherwise seem quite complete); 2) At the death of his supposed father William in 1722 there was an application for guardianship for Samuel who was three years older and Mary who was two years younger - but none for Joseph.

I believe that Joseph's existence was promulgated by William Avery Clift (b 1817) who co-authored the Denison Genealogy. He states elsewhere that Joseph's existence came from Samuel's records. To my knowledge, no one has ever determined what these records were or how sound they were.
