I believe I may have a match for the information in your posting dated July 02, 2005. My name is Brian George Clift s/o Samuel Paton Clift s/o George William Clift, married to Christina Clift (nee Paton) 26 February, 1916.
Samuel was born in Paisley, Scotland in June 1918 and married my mother Margaret (nee Nicol) in July 1947. They subsequently immigrated to New Zealand prior to 1953.
George William Clift was decease at the time of my parent’s marriage and Christina was then a McGonigle.
The source of this information is my late parent’s birth and marriage certificates. If I can be of more assistance please don't hesitate to ask.
