I read with great interest your list of families from John Clift and Hanna. I am descended from Hensley Clift (b. 1797 in Mason COunty, KY) and the youngest child of Benjamin Clift and Frances Peak (I think it is Peak, not Beak).

Anyway, for years we thought that Benjamin's father was Joseph Clift, but no connection could be made. Now, your information reveals that this Benjamin was probably the son of John Clift and Mary Beach.

Do you have any information on John CLift's parentage and does John trace roots back to the Clifts of Scituate, Mass?

In the meantime, I have contacted a couple of other Clift Descendants, most notably Sally Gordon who has a lot of information on the Clifts. I'll locate her contact information and forward it to you.
