Dear Wim Bloemendaal
Hope you enjoyed your visit to Cornwall. My greatgrandfather James Andrew Clift and Bertie Clift's father Edward Matthews Clift were brothers. Both worked as stone masons in Cape Town, South Africa, and the Edward Matthews returned to Cornwall and then to the United States. His brother James Andrew remained in Cape Town.
I would love to complete Edward Matthews' family tree, so it would be wonderful if you could fill in the blanks.
Regards
Marguerite Lombard (Clift)
PS Do you know if Edward Matthews visited or worked in the United States before emigrating with his family?
