My wife's grandfather was Benjamin Clift he emigrated to the USA in the early 1900's, a few years after his sister Florence. My wife's uncle who lives in Ohio, Elbert Clift tells her, that he believes his father's father was a stonemason who went from Mousehole to South Africa, he also emigrated to the US before he brought his chilkdren over. The maiden name of his wife was Pender, which is also my wife's uncle's middle name. We are going to Cornwall on July 10th, if you have any other information please let us know. Or if you want something to be checked out, we are very happy to do so.
