The 1881 Census for High Ercall, Shropshire indicates the family of Joseph Cliff (Born High Ercall 1839) his wife Elizabeth and six of their children living at New House, Ellerdine. They were later to have another six. George, their son born 1869 later went to the Klondyke Gold Rush and returned to the UK in early 1900s.
I am anxious to trace details of both Joseph's parents and any information on George's stay in America/Canada. Very grateful for any information.
