I believe my Thomas Clift originated in Gloucestershire and moved to Birmingham following employment (I guess) then he settled in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. You mentioned Codsall ... try contacting Andrew Wager's Clift Website as he had a lot from Rowley Regis/Codsall area. Who were your Clift families in Tettenhall? One of mine was Charles Clift who married Annie E. Bartlam and they had 14 children (one of them was my Grandfather Charles Joseph James Clift). Hope to hear from you again....
