Hello,I am 28 yrs old and a first time user of this site.I have very little knowledge of my family origins or nationality. My Grandfathers name was Walter Clift and my fathers name Richard Oliver Clift. The only information I have is that my Granfather was born and raised around Pennsylvania German Country, which is now known as Pennsylvania Dutch.I believe they worked in mining and steel factories. If you have any information about Clift's in Pennsylvania I would greatly appreciate it.

As far as my origin or nationality goes I was always under the impression that I was German or possibly English. However I do remember my mother telling me that that when they used to visit Pennsylvania my father had an aunt that spoke English placing all the verbs however in the spots you would if you were speaking German or Dutch. So she was obviously of some Dutch or German decent.Basically I dont know much other then this and the fact that some of my Grandfathers realitives lived in Ohio.If you or anyone else has any information for me it would be a great help.
