I have a Joseph Clift born about 1715 who married Mary Noble on 12 January 1739/40 in Talbot Co. MD. They had two sons - Joseph (b. 1742 d. 21 April 1790) married Mary Edgell in 1769 - and Mark born 1744. Joseph Clift and Mary Edgell's son James Clift (b. 1772 in Talbot Co. MD, died before 1860 in Knox Co. TN) married Alice Hitchcock in 1793 in Knox Co. TN. I have most of the Clift family genealogy on all lines.
