Clift family in Birmingham UK

Hello my name is Margaret and I am investigating the Clift family tree, my Grandfather Thomas James Clift was born in 1884 his first marriage was in 1904 to Rose E Peacock,(known to have had 4 boys 1 girl).

Thomas James Clift was a journeyman Butcher and succesful in Smithfield Meat Market Birmingham UK.

Through my research I have found that my Grandfather had a second marriage in 1944 to Ada Moore (No issue)

His eldet son (my Father) was Thomas Albert Clift born in 1906 who also became a butcher in Birmingham where he met Doris Lily Hodson who worked for Baragwanath they married in 1924 and had 4 children - Barrie Victor 1925, Norman James 1932 - 1972, Thomas Arthur 1935 - 1991 and Margaret Rose 1942 (me:)

I am currently researching Sir Sidney Clift who I am led to believe is my Grandad's brother (informed by Barrie). He owned the Clifton Cinema Chain (West Midlands) he fought to have Sunday opening for Cinema's and through thtis he became Chairman of the Cinematogrophy Association. He fought in the First World War 1914 - 1918 mentioned twice in dispatches reaching Captain rank, being de-mobed with temporary rank of Major.

He was knighted by King George VI in 1951 for his charity work for example he raised £20,000 for Spitfires in the Second World War. He exceeded in his knowledge of Poultry and on one occasion he visited USA to share his expertise, he was subsequently made Chairman of the Poultry association.

The information I require is about the siblings of my Grandfather - names, d.o.b, death, occupation and residence. I would also like information on my Father's siblings as research on these areas has not been succesful.

I have a known living relative in the Birmingham UK area (David Clift - first cousin) and a Brother in Carmarthen (Barrie).

If you have any information relating to this branch of the Clift family tree or ideas on how to continue with my research please advise

Good Luck to fellow researchers and thank you for your kind attention

Margaret Head : )
