I have a James Newton Clift in my database but I don't think it is your man. My James Newton Clift was born 19 January 1913 in Barton County, Kansas. No mention of your Mary Polly Brent. Seems unusual that we both have Clift men with the same first and middle name. I have all ancestors of my James Newton Clift going back to the early 1700s. Hope this is of some help.
