Hi Bob, Yes I think that we have corresponded at one time. I have a family tree to which I am trying to link my Samuel's father William. But I see that there is a Joseph born 1779 (this is open to question) who could be your Joseph. If he were born earlier, then we could be the one who married Hannah Blackman in Halesowen in 1793.
The parents on this tree are Samuel Clift and Elizabeth (nee harris) marr.1767 Halesowen. Their issue was:
1768 James
1769 John
1771 William (?mine)
1773 Samuel
1777 Sarah
1779 Joseph
1780 Hannah
possibly others.

See the gap between Samuel and Sarah? Joseph could possibly fit in there - I shall have to revisit the microfiche to check whether his entry was for a baptism or a birth.
Won't go any further as yet until you have a think about it. Let me know when you decide and I can give you more info. if this family fits.
Cheers from a wet and very windy Tasmania
AEnone.
NB Please also note my new email address at Global Freeway instead of Vision.
