Thanks for your information. I think I may have found the information I need on this site from Mr. Carver (inquiry just beneath yours). He claims that Benjamin Clift (who married Frances Peak and was the father of my Hensley Clift) was the son of John Clift and Mary Beach. This John Clift was the son of John Clift and Hannah.

I'll continue my search.
