Hello Brandon,
We may have made contact in the past but I can't remember (name is familiar).

My mother was Edna Cliff (1905-1993), her father was Samuel Alexander Cliff(e)
His father was John Cliffe abt 1829 ? - Aug.1, 1856. John is buried in the Niles Cemetery in Clinton County Michigan. John was married to Elizabeth Cochrane Dec. 4 1848 in Lansdowne, County Leeds, Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth had a sister Agnes who married Samuel Cliffe Dec. 27, 1847 in Lansdowne. both familys end up in Michigan (Ononadaga) Clinton County, MI.

The Cochranes were Scotch and Irish, however, I can remember my mother claiming were were also English from her fathers side. (Wish I had quizzed her more, but I was a kid).

Can you help make a connection between Tom and Sara's son John and my gt. grandfather John Cliffe?

P.S. My grandfather Samuel A. was born in Moscow New York (now Leicester - Livingston County).
