Hi Julie
My 4th GGF was Joseph Cliff. He was a Silk Spinner in 1842. And in 1842 he was living at Cato Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. His son Christopher (My 3rd GGF) was born abt 1825, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Christopher was a Mechanic. Christopher married Elizabeth Hudson the daughter of Wilkinson Hudson, on 16 June 1842 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. They married at St Peter Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Witnesses to the marriage were; Wilkinson Hudson and Mary Ann Hopkinson.
On the 1851 UK Census Christopher and Elizabeth and their 4 sons James, Thomas, John William and Charles were living at 2 Upper Accommodation Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.
Wonder if my Joseph is the same Joseph as your Joseph, or one of Joseph's sons.
