Hi, Graham, delighted to hear from someone related to the Cliffs (though sadly not mine - probably).

I have quite a few details of William Fisby Cliff; he was the youngest child of 5 known to have been born to William Cliff and Mary Frisby who married 12/3/1827 at Preston, Rutland. The siblings were:
Louise (1818), Barton (1830), Elijah (1834) and David (1832).

William and Mary Elizabeth Ann Wall actually had 6 children: Jabez(1855), John (1858), William (1861), Joshua (1863), Caleb (1864) and Mary (1866). In 1881, all the family (except Jabez who had married Eliza Squire)were living at Main St, Woodhouse Eaves, Leics. Would love to share further details. Feel free to email or call 0121 429 6518. Regards, Geoff Cliff
