Charles, that John and my John were cousins. Your John was son of Boldas/Paltas Click. Boldas, Michael, Jacob, and Mathias Click were sons of Baltas Click of Germany who sailed from England to Philadelphia. Baltas died at Sea about 1732. There are several people on this FORUM who are looking for the same John. George W. Cleek wrote a book with many of the descendants of Baltas. I am a descendant of Michael, and there is almost nothing in the book on Mathias- but he is listed. If you go to a Family History Center and look in the bibliography on microfilm - look for the book by author, George W. Cleek, or by title, Early Western Augusta Pioneers, you will find what you are looking for.
You would be wise to find this microfilm and order it on indefinite loan - it will cost you about $6 - and it will be there when you want it. Peggy Jean Middleton Koenig
