I am a Cliche, dob l941, daughter of Pierre Cliche, dob 1912, eldest son of Joseph Ernest, who was the son of Richard Cliche. All Cliches have the same ancestor Nicolas from Picardie....J'ai la généalogie complète en français...We are from the branch of ^CATOCHE` from St-Joseph de Beauce. The Poulins, Beaudoins, and Cliches all seem to have inter-married.My father and one uncle were M.D`s, my grandfather was an M.D., and my great-grandfather Richard was a blacksmith and cartwheel maker. Many Cliches practice law, and have a tendency towards social activism.Judge Robert Cliche was renowned.I have kept my French heritage, and my grandchildren are going to French school, even though we now live in English Canada.I am really surprised to find CLICHE in the English genealogy!
