Hi Dawnine! Sorry, but I have no additional information on William Clews other than his birth year and location. It's believed that a male from the Clews family went to the United States. There may be a connection, as my grandfather's name is Richard Hedley Clewes. Hedley is a prominent middle name in my Clews family.
