Am searching for parents of Jacob Cleveland b 1729 in ?Eng., Barbados, SC, VA., d 1791 in Elbert Co GA. Married Mildred (Milly) White in VA in 1756, She was the dau of Jeremiah White & Mary Martin..Jacob's father has been listed in the 1899 Cleveland Genelogies (which is the only known source and copied by everybody), at this time for Cleveland family history,as Jeremiah, with no proof or documentation. Over thirty years of research has not turned up one single clue to his identy. The Rice family is well connected with this Cleveland line, with several children being named Rice and carried down through several generations. I'm looking for an early (ca 1700) Cleveland/Rice connection.
