Cleveland/Lincoln Connection RI, CT, VT, NY, MA
Posted by: Jeanne Walsh Date: April 04, 1998 at 06:38:36

I'm looking for a connection between the Cleveland family
and my Lincoln family. My 3GGrandfather Oliver Lincoln was born
in Essex Cty., NY in 1808, son of a Vermont farmer. Oliver
married Almira Denton b. NY. We have letters dated 1868 which
mention Grandma Cleveland in South Hadley Massachusetts. Oliver
and Almira's daughter Rhoda Lincoln would go to Massachusetts on
extended visits with Grandma Cleveland. Have already ruled out
her other ancestral lines for the Cleveland/Lincoln connection.
If anyone has a Lincoln in their Cleveland Line, please let me
know. Other names that may be connected: Gardiner, Curtiss, Day,
Young, Chapman, Fonda. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
