I’d like to determine whether or not the illustrious Harlan Cleveland (1918-2008) has discernable ties to both U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Marshall Harlan (b. 1833) and U.S. President Grover Steven Cleveland. Accordingly I ask, “Who was the father of Stanley Cleveland who was married to a daughter of the illustrious Sheffield Van Buren (abt 1852-1906)?
