I'm related to the Norwalk, Ohio Clevelands, founded by Alanson L. 7 b. 1806 (Edward6, Edward5, John4, Palmer3, Edward2, Moses1). See http://simplemax.net/genealogy/pedigree.php?PEDIGREE_GENERATIONS=7&rootid=I563414409&show_full=1&talloffset=1

I'm stuck on the ancestry of the husband of Fanny/Fannie Janette Cleveland8 (dau of Alanson L7). He was Silas Washington Griffith, b. Abt. 1835, Maryland, d. 1886, Jackson, Amador Co., California. He may have emigrated from Maryland about 1861.

I'm also very interested in the ancestry of the wife of Alanson L Cleveland7. She was Betsy White of Ballston, NY, daughter of Henry White and Nancy (Bright or Wright).
