Hi, Col. Benjamin Cleveland is my 6th Great Grandfather. Capt. Robert Cleveland is my Col. Benjamin Cleveland brother. My husband and I have been to the Col. Benjamin Cleveland Cemetery which is located on the Cleveland Plantation near Westminster, S. C. Col. Benjamin and his wife Mary Graves. We have also been to the Capt. Robert Cleveland Home at the present location in Wilkesboro, N. C. I didn't get to go inside it was not open, but I had my picture taken on the porch. So, if Capt. Robert Cleveland is your wife 4th great Grandfather, then your wife and I are related. We are both descendents of John Cleveland Sr. and Elizabeth Coffee. Tell your wife Hi for me. I will be glad to share information with you both. I have a book called: PROFILE OF A PATRIOT
Colonel Benjamin Cleveland
Hero of Kings Mountain
by
Stephen O. Addison
It is written about Col. Benjamin Cleveland.
My husband and I also went to the Statue of Col. Benjamin which stands in front of the Wilkes County Courthouse in Wilkesboro, N.C. We also went to the Cleveland Monument located on U.S. Highway No. 123 in S.C. between Toccoa, Ga. and Westminster, S.C. near Old Madison.
Dianne
