Merritt's father was William C. Cleveland b. Sept. 8, 1774 New London,CT d. April 23, 1854-Bainbridge, Chenango Co., NY mother was Nancy Ann Baker b. March 15, 1776 Wetherfield, Hartford Co., CT d. March 4, 1857-Bainbridge, NY William m. Nancy 1791 William's father also named William b. Abt 1752 Norwich, New London, CT d. 1778 Revolutionary War. m. Mary Arnold in 1773
William's father-Curtice Cleveland b. 1/23/1700/01 m. Rememberance Carrier
Curtice's father-Isaac b. 5/11/1669 d. 8/10/1714 m. Elizabeth Pierce Isaac's father-Moses. These names are from the "Great" Cleveland Genealogy book by Edmund Cleveland pub. 1899. Hope this helps. Sandy
