I am interested in your NORRIS connection. I am descended from Ambrose Alexander NORRIS Sr. who is in the 1850 Harris Co, GA, census. I have been unable to establish his parentage. The NORRIS history by Harry Alexander Davis appears to have a number of errors in it.

According to the history by Davis, there were TWO Nancy NORRISes, both daus of different William NORRISes; both Nancys married (different) Benjamin CLEVELANDs. I am trying to sort out the two different NORRIS families. One of them was William NORRIS who was married to Nancy WATKINS. The other one I have found no trace of in Harris Co.

Do you know anything about your Nancy NORRIS CLEVELAND's ancestry?
