Barry-- I see you posted a message in 2000.-- Have been trying to locate you as I think you have information on Evan Cleveland who married Nancy Jordon-- in 1830-- Evan is my great great grandfather-- his daughter was Martha Jane who married a Gram-- am trying to find out Evans line and who his parents were-- he and Nancy are buried in White Co.
I have a letter dated 1972 from a Alma Cowart who at that time lived in Pine Bluff Ark.-- Evidently I had written to a Mrs. Elvis Martin of Carmi and since she was senile, the letter was sent to Alma. She is a grandaughter of Lewis --Evans son and daughter of Nellie, Lewis's daughter.
Do you have any information regarding this family--- she advised that you graduated from SIU-- so I called the Alumni office and they wouldn't give me your current address-- said they would notify you that I wanted your address.-- Mine is 7642 old Hwy 13, Murphysboro, Il 62966-- my e-mail is annh@globaleyes.net-- my grand mother was Laura Gram , Martha Janes daughter and my mother was Pearl Williams-- I would appreciate any information that you can give me-- thanking you in advdance-- Anna Easterly Halterman
