I am posting the marriage information my husband recently obtained re: his gr. grandfather..perhaps it might help fill in a few blanks in someone's tree:
Marriage between David Joseph Cleroux and Adeline Pauline Chamaillard 19 Oct. 1896, St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Renfrew Ontario.
This Nineteenth day of October, One Thousand Eight-Hundred and Ninety-six, Whereas a dispensation of one Bann had been granted by faculties from the Right Reverend Narcisse Zephyrin Lorrain, Bishop of ..??..and Vicar Apostolie of Pontiac; Whereas also after the Publication of One Bann, no impediment was discovered no objection made; we the undersigned Parish Priest of Renfrew received the consent to marriage of David Cleroux, aged Twenty-one years, a resident of Renfrew, native of Ottawa, mill-hand, son of Louis Cleroux and Delphine Bonin, on the one part; and Adeline Pauline Chamaillard aged twenty-six years, daughter of Benjamin Chamaillard and Elizabeth Robillard, resident of Renfrew, native of Calumet Island, and gave them the nuptial benediction in presence of Charles Berard and Lucy Chamaillard of Renfrew.

The 1881 census lists some of the Chamaillard family and Adeline is listed as Apoline.
